Is he just afraid of barrels or does he have issues with arena work in general?

I emailed them with no reply yet:) Do you know of this horse personally? Would a 8 year old be able to just trail ride on him? No arena work at all, just plop around the farm and maybe do a few lead lines with neighbor kids.

He does much better on trails, if you're not an experienced rider it might be a good idea for a trainer to put a tune up on him as he has not been ridden more than a few times a year ever.

Nice looking boy.Talked to owner and they have someone coming within the hr to look at him.We are 3 hrs north of them so it would be a long drive for us.

I would definitely say that he prefers the trail to the arena!

CHF..thanks for letting us know..she is going to e mail me too if the people didn't take him .Hope someone gets him but it is quite a drive for us.And my trailer is snowed/iced in right now(we still have LOTS of snow) and if I was going that far to look at him I would want to take my trailer...just in case

Why didn't the woman take him? From the video he looks very nicely mannered. is he coughing and having difficulty currently due to the dust in the hay? If so what have they been doing to elieviate that? Dang I wish he were closer I think he would make my hubby a fabulous trail mount.
Dang I just looked at a map it would be too long a trek for me to go see him not to mention far too far to haul too bad they can't make trucks and trailers able to jump across the lake. Good luck placing him, he sure is a kind eyed handsome devil.

I thought he looked pretty good in the video for first time in arena.We only ride trail and he would make a nice trail horse for my husband also but long drive for us too...NOT as far as yours tho,Cat ;)Sure is a nice looking boy!

CHF....how bad is his breathing and does he do this when he is not on round bales...I have emailed the owners back and forth and got some info.Any info you can give me would be much appreciated.PM me if you want. I thought there was a person coming to look at him this coming week end??We can't get our trailer out and it is over 160 miles one way for us according to Mapquest.We still have lots of snow up here and trailer got a bit snowed in.I watched the videos and he didn't look that bad in the arena...we would only use him for trail tho.

CHF..thank you for the response.I really do like the looks of CJ and so does my husband...I just wish it wasn't so dang far away.We are expecting another storm coming in on Tues and Weds up here with 6 to 12'" and could be more then that then ANOTHER one Fri and Sat....We are near Houghton Lake in Merritt.
I did e mail the owner back and told her if it looked better in a few weeks up here and she still had him to let me know.She had other people interested so maybe he will find a great home before then.

Dang winter is right..We have had so much snow and ice and -27 below temps !!!!I need to RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!Winter sure seems long this year.
