Has anyone heard about a horse neglect case in Hadley? I was told that 15 horses were confiscated due to neglect and that there was an article in one of the Lapeer papers but I haven't found anything on it. I live in Hadley and am just curious of the situation.....

I live in this area too and would be interested to know about it? Surely someone must know something?

It seems to be everywhere. It realy is sad that any animal has to suffer. Please update us if someone knows. Martha

Just remember that if even ONE of your horses looks neglected to an UNTRAINED EYE the government can waltz in and seize ALL of your horses. That's how the law works unless WE change it. allhorses.freelief.com

That is an interesting website, that was posted. I learned some things about animal laws in my area. Its illegal to "kick a horse to make it get up", "lead a horse from the back of a moving pickup", and you have to bury your dead within 2 days. MMM I think I have broken all those laws.
