Gave my Wild Blue the boot.

Got tired of paying for a so so service. It worked good at first but the past several months it comes and goes. Last week when I couldn't get on for most of the day I called and had them stop service.

Now I have to wait until the local server can get a tower closer to me so I can get back on line. I'm at my daughters right now since she is about two miles from me.

Hopefully it won't be to long before I get some kind of service that works better than what I had.

Hi Carol, glad your getting on a bit. I saw on the pony post you said to call ya. I don't have my cell anymore, and only have a phone at the store that doesn't have long distance. I hope you find better service soon. I have heard that some have cell phones that they use to connect to the computer to the net. I used to do it that way back in 2002, but it was just temporary since I didn't have the highspeed phone. There are much better things these days. You should check with your cell company and see if they offer such a thing and how much it is to get set up. Good Luck

We'd give WildBlue the boot, but it's the ONLY thing that we get out here Hughesnet was a lot slower and more expensive.

satelitte services like dish network and direct tv offer high speed internet service

Hughesnet owns Direct TV, so that isn't going to be any better.

Dishnetwork works with wildblue and hughesnet is with direct tv.

I have VERIZON high speed internet its so much cheaper then cable internet and dish etc. Check it out it may be in your area.
