Yesterday was the first day, and again today.
He did awesome. He is very jumpy so we have been working a lot with coats, bags, tarps, anything that can despook him a bit. He has improved SO much in two days time. I am really getting my hopes up for him turning into a heck of a mount!!
I have:
saddled him
bridled him
tightened the saddle tight enough I could put weight into it without it moving
had him walk through puddles knee deep
taught him basics of lunging (at walk and trot) MUCH harder without a round pen!!
put weight into stirrup
thrown coats, ropes, tarps, bags, bags full of crushed soda cans and other misc. noisy horse eating scary objects I could find near him to get him used to them.
We have had some awesome weather here since yesterday so I am taking advantage of it!!
