Okay so after much re-evaluation, September is sound for young riders to learn to ride on and trail rides (up to around 110lbs). I've had a few of the younger kids at my barn on her and she's been doing great. The person that was supposed to take her is making things a bit rough and I'm hurting with money (and other things mentally).
I am wondering if anyone has a use for a pretty easy keeping mare that is older in age (24 years young), but still has years for youngins to learn on? This would be a free lease (treat her as your own, but she'd still be technically mine). I just want her taken care of and to have a job. At my barn she just doesn't have enough of a job to be 100% happy.
She's low on the pole in a herd once she figures out she's not head mare (usually takes about 24 hours to figure it out, and another day for her to stop worrying about other's bursting into her bubble). She buddies up to young horses well, and isn't a very "hug on me" horse.
I'm not looking for money, I'm looking for a family that wants a great family horse. She's good for Vet and Farrier, I just need to get a coggins on her (been waiting for the money).
If anyone is interested, e-mail me at piccolosgal@hotmail.com

Forgot to mention, September is an ex-Standardbred Pacer. Many people mistake her for a smaller TB mare. She does pace, but will trot as well. Does english and western. Quick learner, even in her age.

I'll let ya know on Monday night. I go out there Sunday, and we're going to put everything up then. I am so eager to see how she does. I'm sure she'll be okay, but it's still going to be a blast!

She did great! One of the little girls (she's all of 70lbs soaking wet) was riding her doing barrels (at a trot) while we were blasting music, dragging stuff, she's been around flags and barrels before so that's not a problem. Where are you located? Maybe we can set-up a visit before a decision is made. I would prefer you came out and seen her, then made your own decision. Bring your little one as well if you want!
