Got these today when I swear there was a squirrel convention in our neighbors yard. Lots of the furry little cuties out there digging in the snow! I counted ten at one time. As always, copyrighted by me.. please do not use without permission

Here is the shot and close up of his face.. I was close to the bottom of the tree and he started coming down looking like this! I shot a few quick shots and then stepped back a few feet LOL. Must be getting close to breeding time because there were a ton of them hanging out and a few seemed aggressive..

Those are so cute. I miss squirrels I don't see to many down here. Just a lot of birds, mostly black ones, in large flocks covering the turf fields. When they fly off they are like a black cloud. I should start carrying my camera again. Thanks for sharing.

Ya know whats weird? There are no black squirrels here, and if you mention them people look at you like you just described a flying monkey!! So strange.. they are everywhere in Michigan where I grew up. Hell, I did not even know there were gray ones until I was like 17 (no joke!) lol
We have some nice birds around here, but the neighbors have an amazing bird feeder set up so they dont come to mine LOL. I saw a woodpecker today but he was too fast to get a picture of.

I love how clear and crisp the pics are! I love to just watch them play in the yard. There was a deer in our horse pasture last week and the horses were chasing it. I wish I could have gotten a pic of that.

There were tons of black squirrels in Spring Arbor - we lived there years ago. Also, when we lived in Jackson, there were blond squirrels a couple blocks away from us. THEY WERE CUTE!!! Your pictures are awesome!

A friends mom dropped my of one day and about panicked at the black squirrels in the yard! I thought that was rather normal, but she, who had grown up in the same town that we lived, had NEVER seen one! Apparently my parents live in their own little time warp!

Aww cute! I have a couple that love my old hickory tree. There was a black one out there but haven't seen him in a while now that you mention it. Hopefully he is around somewhere!

I saw a blonde squirrel last winter in MI. It shocked me, I didn't think they were that light. I have heard that the black squirrels are more agressive and run off the other breeds of squirrels.
