This year I am considering holding several shows at my farm but there has to be significant interest to make it worth my while. I want to hold 5 hunter/jumper shows here as well as a few 4H type shows. The h/j shows will range from leadline to 3ft jumpers to medal classes. Cost will be $10 per class and up to 30 stalls available for stabling on a first come, first serve basis. Additional entries would need to trailer in for the day.
The 4H shows would have your typical classes: showmanship, huntseat, western pleasure, and gymkhana at $6/per class. The farm is located in Holly, MI.
I do have a few h/j trainers lined up to bring their students if I hold these shows and the last time the farm owner (I lease a portion of the barn) held shows here, she had over 300 entries (2006). We are conveniently located and have plenty of room to park trailers (100 acres) as well as an outdoor arena with lights and an indoor. Both are 80 x 200 in size.
Is this something anyone would be interested in attending? I want to make these shows affordable in this crappy economy. It would be a good place to get your young horse some experience and not spend a ton of money. Or for trainers to bring out their novice riders to gain experience in a non-pressured atmosphere.

Hello- If you add trail and walk class (horsemanship, showmanship, trail) add a novice horse walk trot. and don't hold it during CMHA or LMHA weekends, we will come! and there are a lot of us! please also consider adding baby green over fences, and intro and training level dressage. we try to stick to shows that all my riders can show at. because its just a 1 day show. I would have trail and dressage classes in the seperate outdoor arena with a seperate judge. just a thought! will you be going to 6th or 8th place?
