I have a baby pygmy that is a week old and I have been bottle feeding him due to the fact that his mother abandoned him.....My question is that I am mixing his goat formula as directed on the package but his poop is like runny and mustard colored.....is this normal for baby goats or is the formula too rich and causing this?

Are you close to a goat breeder? If so get some goats milk for this kid. Then give him a little hay and a wee bit of grail. They start eating a little bit quite early. What kind of formula? Poo should not be runny.

Our baby goats always have nasty greenish poop for a little while. It starts to go away when they start eating solids. It's not runny like soup, but its not quite as solid as regular poop.
It would be best to milk momma. Did the baby get its first milk from momma? Our goats are due in the spring, this will be the 10th year we've bred.

Check the tag for what is in the powdered milk. Kids do not do well on soy products in the milk. You need to feed all milk milk replacer- it can have whey products but not soy. The yellow color is ok.

He and his sister got no milk from mom...she was kicking at them she wanted NOTHING to do with them.......I cut the concentration back on the formula even though I was following what the package stated and it seems to be helping.........his poop was not runny water it was just not little goat poop balls........

They don't get those solid poop balls until they're eating solids. I guess you can think of it like babies. I don't think they get more solid poop until they start eating solids either. Same with horses and cows.

Ok do they didn't get colostrum and they really need it for their imune system. You need to get some in them asap. Again see if you can find someone that saves a little at kidding time. I used to do it incase someone needed it.
