The USPS lost my horse's papers. I was sending them in so she could be transferred into my name, and magically they are missing. I had track and confirm and insurance on it....
I'm beyond ticked right now.
So word of advice, use Fed Ex if your sending your babies papers in!

yeah, i copied EVERYTHING, lol. i'm paranoid like that. I copies of the transfer and the original papers, now we have to get duplicates made, and start all over.

They might turn up, give them a little time. I always use USPS and never had anything get lost.

I used to work for the USPS and my mother and sister both retired from there. Trust me with the way things are computerized these days with mechanized cancellation machines and sorters many times things get ripped rent and torn in the handling process. Faster sure but not nearly as safe when mailing documents. Always best to put those types of things in a photo shipping envelope that is cardboard and mark as hand cancel FRAGILE those never get machined but hand handled from your place to their destination. Food for thought next time around. BTW it is no issue if you have copies and have documentation that the USPS lost the originals the registry should be ok with that and be able to get your transfer done swiftly and surely. ~Cat~

Good!
My parents sent a package of Christmas gifts to my brother in NC. They did not insure it, but they got tracking info for it. It took over a month to get there, but it finally made it there after being lost in the mail...
I think the USPS is hurting for money (they are now talking about going down to 5 days for mail delivery!! no weekends) and they just do not give a crap right now..
