Does this sound right to you? ?? we purchased a 2006 model Hart trailer BRAND NEW off the lot in April of 2008... wouldn't you think there would be at least a one year warranty on EVERYTHING from the date of PURCHASE??? Took it in for some minor issues and was told the warranty begins at time of manufacturing/ So.....we have no full warranty, but we do have a 5 year structural warrany. The service center was great, took care of everything for us and did the "warranty" work at no cost, but I still can't believe that's policy for trailer warranties!

While it's disappointing that they didn't tell you this when you purchased it, it actually makes sense to me. The trailer has been exposed to the same beating from the elements whether it was sitting on a purchase lot or sitting in your driveway. Look on the bright side--at least you have a newer trailer. When my 1997 trailer needs a repair, I always have to pay for it.

I agree about being exposed to the elements, that part makes sense...but there is a big difference in sitting on a lot and hauling equine down the road....if there is an electrical problem or a problem with the closing of a rear door, THOSE things should be covered....in my opinion.
