I doubled the amount of hay they're getting. They have to have hay to keep warm. I blanketed the ones who get cold and the hardier horses are fine w/o blankets. Tank heaters and hay in their stalls when they come in for their am/pm grain. Keep them in a little longer for a break from the weather. They also have a large run-in.

It is super cold here in Indiana too. They are sending kids home early because of the snow we are getting.
We haul out warmer (not really warm but warmer than if it came out of the faucet outside!) water and make warm mashes with grain. We blanketed my brothers 24 year old Arabian finally because it is just too cold out there. They do not get stalled and are out all the time and everyone says they look amazing. They have round bale access 24 hours a day though and I think that helps.

It had better warm up up there soon. This cold is delaying my horses moving south! They were supposed to leave thursday but since the weather dropped it will be friday. I sure hope you all get an early spring for dealing with that yuck you got there. It has been colder than usual down here also, but I really feel for you guys dealing with the colder cold! This past week my pigs, I mean 2 horses, ate a whole 1200 lb round bale! They are robbing me. But soon as we get them down here they are going on a starving diet! I can't afford $65 a week in hay for them to eat that fast.
