Any horse can be a candidate for dressage but a lot of it depends on how he moves. I have seen some "bigger boned" horses in dressage and they look like they are floating on air. Others I have seen under saddle in western look very very clunky you just know they would not be a good fit.
Saving money is always a good thing, but boarding is high cost. Be prepared for at least $200 a month. Here in Indiana, you cannot find a place within an hour from me that boards for under $400 a month.

I think I found good homes For my babys! It will be hard, but we have to move closer to hubbys job.... And moving into a house w/o land. So I think I want to look for a Hunter/jumper, prospect to learn on , and find a instructor and learn somthing new..... Then maybe Board in a couple of years....

I'm glad that you found homes for them. It's hard to do that, especially in winter. It'll be nice though to start out and look around for what you want to do. How far did you have to move? I hope there are nice places to board.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but hunter/jumper is one of the most expensive disciplines out there. If you're actively downsizing your life, H/J may not be the best choice money-wise.

Down sizing by choice, not exspence..... W/O credit it's hard to purchase a home with land, that I could get aproved for.I found alot Of home w/ land but nothing I get aproved for.... My own fault! I have always saved and paid everything with cash... almost 30 yrs old, and have never owned a credit card .So I have bought a new mini van and purchasing a home with what we could get aproved for.. And right now I just dont have the time for horses at home, with 2 girls ages 3, and 5. working 40hrs, collage...ect....... Im not 18 any more...lol family, and children change life constantly.... and i love them sooooo much.. Hoping that the pyments on the house and van will help me in the future, get my dream... hubby drives 60 miles 1 way to work, and I drive about the same 1 way... Of any of you provide lesson in english, dressage,H/J let me know because Im very interested in learning Laura
