I've got two used Bob Marshall's, an endurance and a western version. Love them both and won't consider riding in anything else in the future. The times I used a western saddle before I got them I used to get some pretty bad knee pain after 30-40 minutes in the saddle. Had a friend that let me use her BM endurance and I've been sold ever since. I've done up to seven hour rides and no problems.
I've got the slightly older models that are made of better leather IMO. The newer ones seem to use a slightly lower quality leather to keep the cost down. But that's just an opinion, no fact.

One of my boarders has a Bob Marshall western saddle. I drool over it every time it comes out from under the cover she keeps on it! It's very well made and seems to be really comfortable for her horse too.

LOL SA surely you jest Sunshine wouldn't do things like that!!
And I agree Stormie the LJ wouldn't be for all the time use I still plan to get one at some point but in my case it would be for those rides bopping around home and in this type of weather where I want to get more heat from my horse but with a bit more security than just being on bareback. You need to be closer to me you know I think I could use some lessons again, never hurts to keep learning and getting outside opinions and tips on my riding. I know my form is way off from when I was younger!

Me lessons? I don't give lessons but I could thow tennis balls at you everytime you do something wrong! lol I think that riding bareback is great, I miss it. I use to ride bareback all winter but with my hips I can't anymore. Even a short ride bareback kills me for a week. Course doesn't help that the one mare is built like a table.
