They were saying on the news that most people are adopting animals instead of buying from a breeder. I was happy about that. Maybe the rescue shelters can moves some animals now. ;D

The shelters are full of awesome dogs. I got my first one from there. She was a pitt seized by them. She had been severly abused, she peed when you talked to her and was scared to death of non carpeted floors and stairs. It was the greatest feeling knowing that she will neve be scared again. She is on my couch growling at the other dogs now! No one else is allowed on the couch! SPOILED as she should have been all along!

Oh wow ! How awsome is that. Do you still have your pit ? I got a coon hound in 2007 and he has been just a wonderful dog. I wish more people would think about adoption rather than breeding.

Yeah, she is still with us. She is kind of the familys dog now, When I went through my divorce I move in with my sister. Saydi took to my sister and well....in her heart she belongs to her. Saydi is getting VERY old, she can barely see and her joints dont move so well anymore. Whoever had her before did one heck of a number on her. We dont expect to have her next winter, its way too hard on her little body. She deserves the respect of putting her down before she lives in pain all the time and the rimidal isnt working so well anymore.

Dont be sorry, She was 3 when we got her, she is 15 now. She has lived the GOOD LIFE since we got her. I wasnt that spoiled as a kid! She is the poster child for adopting dogs. Making the rest of her life has been very rewarding and well worth the heartbreak we will go through when she is gone. She looks like a brindle tater tot. She is soo cute!
