I have a mare that had an injury when she was leased ouut last summer, ever since she has been hard to load. What type of techniques can help me get her to be good and feel safe at loading into a trailer?

Lots of time and patiences. Maybe you could make a small pen at the back of your trailer and put the hay in the trailer. A little on the floor all the way up to the front and see if she will load herself to eat. Other than that a lot of asking, and backing, leading back to trailer and asking for a load, backing etc etc.
