So can I ask, what did it give us back. I live close to Pigeon River, and went to some of the meetings at the DNR office, fighting to ride there and it was not a nice meeting to put it nicely

At the moment, not much. There's a companion senate bill (596 I think but don't quote me). If that gets passed then a law would go to the governor for signing. At least that's my understanding, but I'm not a civics teacher.
