Am on my way to the vet clinic with our boy Razor (stopped at a local place for a drink and to waste some time where can connect to the internet). Couldn't stand watching him search for water any longer none of that today. We found Razor through a post on MEL3 yrs ago. Took Razor in yesterday for a checkup for what we thought was a kidney infection,, after several rounds of labs, exrays then a flying trip to another vet clinic 1 1/2 hours away (the one I am headed to now. Hope it doesn't peeve my regular vet off but I worked for this vet years ago and I know she will get the job done if it can be done). for an ultrasound he is going in today for an exploratory for a mass in his abdomen. Please think all the good thoughts you can for the kindest sweetest most patient heeler in the world.

We had to let Razor go, I was there during surgery as I used to work at this clinic and doc let me stay the whole time. The tumor was very involved and there was no way to remove it. I was able to love on him to the very end. Tim made him a beautiful spot in the corner of the yard last night so he is home. This is just so sudden and so hard, our home and horsecamp where Razor always went with us and was welcome in everyones camp, just isn't going to seem the same for a long time to come.
