I have a friend that thinks their horse might have stage 1 of wobblers. This gelding's sire deceased due to complications of Wobblers. It was confirmed by Vet's. My friend has called the trainer of this horse from when he was on the track (Mac is the name of my friend's horse). She only asked him if he was nerve blocked as he tends to stumble when collected. Now this trainer said he was never nerve blocked BUT would race horses with phase 1 Wobblers. This has us curious, was this horse diagnosed with Phase 1 Wobblers and the trainer never informed CANTER about it??
So my question is: Does anyone know if MSU is still running their Wobbler's research? If they are, we'd like to put Mac in under it and see if whatever they're doing can help him. Any info is greatly appreciated.
