Anyone know where I can camp with horses near Muskegon? Do you think there is a possibility to get in for Labor day weekend? Also, any camping area near Muskegon if I can't bring the horses. Thanks for all your help, Karen

Don't know about with horses, but there's Muskegon State Park and I understand there's a county park that's pretty nice but rustic just north of the state park.

if it is state land. contact the DNR down there. you should be able to camp anywhere on state land with the horses. we do up here, we take our own water an stuf but do get hold of the DNR to make sure

State parks almost universally exclude horses, but definately double check. State forests are what I believe you're referring to. I think you can camp anywhere (within regulations) on state forests.

My friends and I always go to Pines Point up near Hesperia. It's free and alot of people camp there with horses.
