I just got a verizon air card that allows 5,000 MB per month. The cost is 60.00 a month. I have only had it a week but looks like I will be able to do everything I need to do with it. They give a 30 day trial period and if you aren't satisfied you can return it. There is a 35.00 fee for the return but that isn't bad. Better than being stuck in a two year contract you are not happy with.

Yep got the alltel one too, worked great in most spots in the UP and can login in horsecamp or on the road (obviously I wasn't driving, LOL). $60 a mos for this one, just shut it off for the summer (bought mine, cost a little extra but gives me the flexibility to shut it off when I am not using it since not in a contract.). But am hearing good things about some of the iphone type phones (ok not a techy person here) but they are the ones that have keyboards so you can use the internet on them. Gal in horsecamp had hers, $100 month unlimited calling for her and spouse, unlimited internet and she has a cord that she plugs in to her regular laptop and then it send the internet through that so you can use the bigger screen/keyboard. She loves it. I believe hers was sprint. She also mentioned some offbrand paypermonth not stuck in a contract one that she liked but didn't have good reception in her area but was only $50 a mos for that one. Too bad I am old and can'tremember nothin huh!?

I think $60 is the standard price. My parents have the sprint one and they love it, and its $60 too. They got theirs before they changed the rules so they are locked in at the unlimited, but now its only 5 g a month for downloads.

Yeah that's it, see I knew someone could remember!! The boost intrigues me but the reviews on it are pretty bad, the coverage map for Michigan in our area is pretty sketchy so probably won't be able to use that one sadly cuz the price is great. Down your way the coverage is much better. Verizon is good around here though, another month or two on my contract so I have some time to decide.

It's not that great down here. Good Luck

Unless you're in the I-94 or US131 corridor, Sprint service is horrible. I've found Alltel to be the most reliable so far. Been with them for seven years now. Very happy.

Just asked the doc what his provider is, he uses AT & T has good coverage from here to NY when he is traveling and to Boyne when they go ski'ing. He pays $100 for an all inclusive plan on his i-phone so there is another option to look into.
