Avatar?

I have been trying to add an avatar to my profile and am uncertain how to go about this. I use photobucket for my photo storage and I was wondering if anyone could offer this ole glorified self taught button pusher how to do this and what one should use for the URL...
It offers several choices at photobucket ranging from shared URL for e-mail and IM, to HTML coding, to Direct linking, and lastly IMG code for bulletin boards and forums??? So which should I be using???

I think for the URL for an avatar is the photobucket direct link URL, starting with the http:// I didn't put in a size for mine, just let proboards figure that out I guess.

Yea , when it comes to computers we all DA I would also like to put a photo , all my photo is in my photo file.
