Well, we went to look at this guy, he was not being fed or watered but a wonderful boy, we thought about it and made an offer, the gal turned it down, wanted us to play the bidding game. I was worried that he may end up in the wrong hands again so we paid full price and brought him home. Called my vet and we have him on the right track, no more diarreaha and he is eating and drinking and happy now. Makes me feel good that this guy is going to have a good life now!!! Oh, his name is "Buck". Hope this picture comes through. How cute! I cant believe that woman wanted to play the bargining game. You would think that she would want him to go to a good home no matter the price. Glad you did something this wonderful for this cutie! You are very lucky that he is not to bad off, even though the winter hair does hide a lot.
I rescued a paint and he weighed 626lbs when we brought him home and he drank a water trouph 1/2 full of water. I mean water is free. But now he is happy and healty and living with a new home.
Good luck with your new boy!!

Thank you, I know it feels GOOD to know he is being taken care of finally. I just couldn't turn my back on him, I told my BF, it's only money, the horse needs a new home, and thats all it took, ha ha ha. Something told me I HAD to bring him home and I'm glad I did. Can't wait to send new pics after he gains some weight!!!

I'm glad he has a new home with people who will love him and feed him and tend to him properly. Give him about 6 weeks of a full dose of good food and TLC and you will be amazed at the changes in your boy. Congrats ~Cat~

Did the lady you bought this horse from explain why he was not being fed or watered. Just wondering.

Her husband left her, she has to move, she has had two back surgery's in the last year and she is driving a new car w/ personalized plates!!! I was soooo mad at her when I saw these horses, there is one more mare left too, she is not in as bad shape and she had more people coming to look at her and I called a gal I knew to tell her and she was supposed to go look at the mare but I haven't heard anything back yet. There was no water, and not a stitch of hay on the property. You could tell they haven't been fed by the way they were acting when the gal walked over to the lean too. When I got him home he didn't stop eating at all. Her husband was there watching the kids on the night I went to see the horse and he told me that she was not caring or feeding for the horses and that is why they were for sale. I was going to give this lady a piece of my mind once I had my gelding loaded up but when I went to pay her she started crying saying "I know you will take care of him because I can't". At that point I couldn't chew her out.....The mare is listed on Horseville.com, should be a Quincy, MI address if anyone is interested. She is registered.

Congrats on finally finding yourself a new horse, a what a cutie he is! I saw his picture on the horseville site, he really looked nice without the winter coat! I also saw their mare on the site priced at 1200.00.......you'd think if they can't feed her they would drop the price on her! If anyone is looking for the mare here's the site...... www.horseville.com/php/view.php?id=199087
