Does anyone have rommel reins?

My daughter uses black tack and saddle... and was told that if she had rommels it would help sit his bouncier then heck trot... we've been looking only we don't have the kind of money they want for them... So I thought if I could take measurements and see HOW they are put together I could try to make something to TRY... out of flat braid rope.

She shows open and 4H this year because of the hard times.

Does anyone have a set we can get pictures and measurements to work off of? I am wondering about the way they are put together too.

My trainer has them, they're weighted reins.

I don't think it'll help with sitting, sounds like a seat/base issue.

I have a set of really dark chocolate leather ones. Not weighted, but they're romels. Bought them new used once or twice, been sitting for over a year. Will sell for $30 plus shipping.
