Starting yesterday around 11:00 AM, our german shepherd female started having pups. She stopped having them around noon after delivering 3....1 male and 2 females. We decided to move her to a spot with more room for her (THANK GOODNESS!) and she immediately delivered 2 more females. Now up to 5 pups! Then around 9:30 PM, 9+ hours later, she delivered 2 more, but one was dead. Now, 6 pups! Then at 12:30 AM, I woke up hearing a puppy squealing, so I came out to check on them....Mom had delivered another pup. Up to 7!! This morning, at 7:00 AM, we got out of bed and did a head count....10 living pups.........4 males and 6 females!! OMG!! Did I mention that this is her first litter!?! lol I have 3 males and 6 females available and are priced at $300 for males and $350 for females. Now accepting deposits. If anyone is interested in purchasing one, please contact me at smoke.signals.farm@gmail.com **UPDATE** Yesterday morning around 6:30 AM, I had to help deliver 3 more female pups, who unfortunately were not alive due to the fact that the first of the three was stuck and Mom couldn't deliver them fast enough. Aww she is beautiful, makes me want to consider a shepherd for my next dog. I am just starting the hunt. Was thinking wanted another heeler (like my old boy) but I love shepherds had one years ago I adored that rescued while worked animal control.

Both of my adults, Taz and Java have awesome dispositions, are loyal and loving, as well as protective. My female weighs around 85 lbs at 3 years old and the male weighs around 80 lbs at a year old. The puppies' grandfathers on both sides weighed in at around 105, so these pups should be rather large. I am accepting deposits and already have one male, and one female spoken for. |

Gorgeous dogs looks like they take after the mother more so then the sire. I love the sires coloring that to me is just breathtaking. Hope they all grow healthy and happy and that good hoems are found for all of them.

lol All of these pups have fantastic homes and are almost 2 years old now.  We ended up with 4 that looked like Dad and the rest darker with brighter tan highlights than mom. We do have a litter due in December 2008 though, if anyone is interested..... She had 15 pups in her last litter (July). Didn't plan to breed her again yet, but she caught me off guard with all of our home moving and stuff. |

Your killing me here, I have a 14 year old German Shepherd right now and she is failing fast. I seen pictures of Jan's dog and it is just gorgous. I will keep you in mind when I have to put my dear old dog down, but for now I will just have to look.

Lol...'Jan' would love to have one of these pups too ;)Hubby just gave me that 'look' tho when I showed him the pics of the latest litter.We love our gal and I guess one is enough...she keeps us VERY busy ;D
It is soooo hard when our pets get old...bless your old gal.I know how you feel and my heart goes out to you.

congrats!!! my youngest GS came from a litter of 11---10 boys one female...and the famale didn't make it. have fun and keep posting pictures.

Here are some pix of our puppies from today. They are 22 days old today, and the boys are HUGE!!! 'Course, the poor baby girls are outnumbered and have to fight these monsters to nurse.  The mostly solid black pup in the front of this next pic is a female and the puppy in the back with all the tan is a male.  Male in back and female in front in this pic.  |
