Says on craigslist that they have alot of nice consignments already for the sale on Saturday. Is there anyway to get that information??? And whos all going??? I bought a drugged/sick horse up there years ago, so I'm alittle unsure about buying at an auction again. :-(

Shoot I am going to the MDA seminar at MSu or would meet you there. I know when we talked I told you we have bought a couple at auctions and come out well but it is tough you want someone experienced with you. It will be a big sale I am thinking usually is a good sized one and with the economy I bet it is bigger yet so a lot of horses. But you just have to go and see what's there.
Hmmm you should just meet us at MSU and go to the seminar, ladies day, going with a couple gal friends to have a good time. Email me ifyou are interested at all and we can figure a way to meet up.

I checked their webpage, they haven't updated it since 2008 so I called them and they are going to fax me a consignment sheet for the weekend sale. I will pass the info along as long as it's not to much typing.

gypsywolf forgot to mention a BIG greyhaired beared old fart....LOL. He is tall!! Greg had a gelding for years he got from me (got the horse at the Stockbridge sale just to find a good home for he was way too nice a horse to go to the dealer he was headed for) and Odie stood 17 hds and they matched nicely! I just looked for a photo but don't have anything online other than this one Greg is on the grey on the far right.
But can you believe this was back in 2004! Yep have it dated in the album July 31, 2004 Greg we be getting old!!

oh crap, thanks dawn. dont seam that long. an ya otie was a wanderful horse, sure do miss him. the mare i picked up cant come close. but i need to give her time i geuss. an she is only 15.1 feels funny on one that small lol

Well, I wasn't planning on an auction this weekend, but I'm a sucker for a Thoroughbred. That black mare will be coming home with me hopefully. Anyone from the Metamora area planning on taking a trailer?? ;D Otherwise I'll have to bring mine along (which could be bad because I'd have an empty spot next to her, lol). I hope she's in decent condition and healthy.

There are some really nice drafts at Shipshewana, some in the kill pen for cheap!

Drafts sell on Friday for the most part. Saturday is riding horses and glad KB is going to get the TB whew was feeling bad after seeing that that I was going to be at MSU instead of at the sale. Bring her home and take good care of her. Will expect to see updates on the exr board!
