Found Mocha a new home. I do not have what it takes to saddle train young horses anymore. I lack confidence in not falling off and hurting myself.. having a 5 year old son changes your perspective on life a little bit. He went to a good home, lady knows what she is doing. OMG it took 3 hours to load him in the trailer though.. wow what a mess that was. People who do not work with trailer loading when they are babies make me mad, there is no reason for a 5 year old horse never being in a trailer before...
We are now on a lookout for a nice pony/small horse for our son. =) He is excited about the prospect of having his own horse too..
Been really busy just with life. My mom rescued a sweet TWH gelding.. the former owner was a dumb nut who "might have hayed them once or twice a week" all winter.. he is way underweight but doing well on free fed hay and little amounts of grain (working our way up).
Found a new supplier for round bales.. its amazing hay!! Kept indoors all winter and it is bone dry.
Going to North Carolina next Saturday to see my brother who is stationed out there. Plan on doing some site seeing when I am there.. hoping to see the wild horses and to find a stable that does beach rides.. always been my dream to ride on the beach. From what I am finding online its gonna cost me around $100 though.. ugh.. we are also going to see Battleship North Carolina, an aquarium, and some plantation.
Anyways..
