Sad, but horses looking like that all over the place. And since animal control seems to only want to go after the people or animals they think will actually get them money rather than take care of the ones who need taken care of....
We will be seeing more and more of this.

The person who posted the ad rescued the poor thing, but for whoever allowed that to happen, wow...

I'm glad they got that mare and she's getting help! Complicating the problem is the fact that there are not enough people to take in starving horses. How many on this thread or forum for that matter besides stray and myself are willing to take in a starved horse? Do you have the funds or the room? I have heard over and over and over again "I wish I could help" then on the next thread by the same person they're talking about their vacation, new saddle, new truck or trailer or whatever. I personally don't want to hear the complaining unless people can put their money where their mouth is! Time is something that is free and can be donated by people who don't have other means to help. Time to help groom the horse or help feed or even just handle it.

I found the website for the equine hospital. I like to contribute to causes like this, so I'm going to send some $ to help this little girl. Here's the link to the site, if you want to check it out. It's a state of the art facility! www.mveh.com/

I would love to see some happy ending pictures of them. I always love happy ending horse stories.

I emailed the equine hospital that is mentioned in the ad, inquiring about how I can make a donation towards this mare's care (I'd rather give $ than buy a t-shirt, that way it's all going to her care). I haven't heard back yet. I'll try to call them on Monday, if I don't hear from them over the weekend.
