I posted it! Hopefully these great horses can find some homes instead of stupidly being put down. If they are 4-H horses that says something!!
Thanks for trying to find them homes instead of just looking the other way!

Will she donate to a rescue instead of euthanizing? I know quite a few very good organizations and I could pick up and deliver since I am not too far away.

I just have to say at least this person is willing to spend the few dollars it costs to euthanize her horses if she cant find a home. Lets not forget that. Some people would just turn it loose, starve it, give it away or some other awful fate.

that is very true.. the lady who owned Mocha before the former owners (who gave him to me) reclaimed him was going to take him up to a really small village like town and turn him loose in middle of winter..
I hope these horses find good loving homes but if not I hope she does have them properly euthanized.. not left to starve a slow death or anything like that..

I wondered what happened with these horses. I was surprised at the support of her decision to put them down if a good home was not found. I thought I was the only one that agreed with her.
I have to say for 500.00 you can buy a pretty good younger horse right now.
The pony and donkey that we have will never be sold. And yes they are both well broke kid safe animals. I would put them down if it came down to having to get rid of them. They will never know abuse or neglect again.
Euthanasia is an option, and in this economy should be considered when you are getting rid of older or unbroke horses. OFF MY SOAPBOX. Martha

Well said Martha....... I agree it is good she has decided to euthanize if no other companion homes are found that would be suitable. As a horse owner you take on certain responsibilities that are sometimes difficult both emotionally and financially. But they are our responsibilities regardless since all should know that going in. The cost both as mentioned emotionally and economically may be burdensome yes but it comes with respectful care of the animal as it gets to it's golden years. JMHO ~Cat~
