What kind of reins do you use and why do you prefer them over other styles, materials etc??

Personally I use what ever works best on each particular animal, but I do like split reins as a rule however the newbie works best with my parachute cord barrel racing reins. I also want to buy a set of the Chris Cox roper reins.

I use thick harness leather split reins, but my favorite pair that I use are really soft braided black leather split reins

I love split reins on my neck reiner's soft leather or biothane work best for me but I prefer roping reins on the ones that are learning.
