On your About Me page, you use "I" too often. I assume your trying to sell your services. Why don't you put more of your acheivments on that page. Maybe show the picture that won you the place in the calander. you need more images on there, so people can see your work. what type of camera do you use? what are your favorite scenes? what do you specialize in?

Thanks Jennie~ I edited the 'about me' page and put the photo that was in the calender back in there. It was originally there but I thought that maybe I should have a picture of myself in the 'about me' section be cause well... it was about me. So I changed it maybe 4 days ago, now its back to the way it was.
Anyone else want to give it a try?

On your rates and services page, it should say On Deck offer s photography.... Suggestion: To get photos of yourself, family or friends, visit this website. Photos will be posted (put the page name where photos will be posted). E-Mail us with your selections. We will print out the photos on high quality paper, in the size you desire and personally mail them to you. Where it says 'with out payment' it should be without as it is a compound word. Maybe you should stipulate: Photos will not be printed until payment is received. Sounds more professional and saves you the hassle of printing them without getting paid. You use the word 'got' but it may sound better if you use 'acquired' or 'purchased' to describe getting your horse. I hope I didn't offend you. Just some friendly suggestions.

I highly suggest buying your own domain name. They are cheap and much more professional. You can even use the free host still and have it re-directed so people can type in yourdomainname.com and it will come up to the website you have now.. (hope that makes sense. been a long day) Personally I am not a fan of the bright colors, but then again that is just me! I adore the black and white photo you have on your about me page! Very nice. On your price charts you have horizontal spelled wrong. On home page it reads "On Deck goes to local horse open horse shows and photograph local riders and their horses. I also do local photo shoots for 'For Sale' and 'Stallion at Stud' ads." Bolded word should have an s on the end Just on a personal note from a fellow photographer your 8x10s are priced very very low.. I would suggest not cutting yourself short at all... because remember if you raise your rates later on people will complain more than they will if they have to pay a couple of bucks more now... Also, is there a reason you make each print cost more if they are ordering higher quantity? Usually it is the other way around and they get a bit of a discount ordering a lot of prints... Your work is good, I would love to see more pictures! You are a photographer and people are going to your website as prospective clients. You want to have more of your great work on there to show off! There are many free galleries you can use, or just have smaller jpgs on a nice empty page. I know photography and website design are both a very personal thing. Everyone has their own ideas. Please do not take anything I have said personal =) BTW, here is my website if you want to take a look. I am working on adding a lot more photos, leaning more toward horses and landscape photography than portraiture, but I did another wedding on Valentines Day I will be adding pictures of soon. www.christelbrowningphotography.com(My DA account is in my siggy because my website was down for a while due to lack of time but it is back up now)

As a pro you do not have to explain why you are charging... so in the prices state you wil charge 15.00 sitting fee you do not have to say cause gas is so high... because what happens when it drops... just a thought... also "If you ask for photos to be printed and they are printed and you do not pay, you will be billed with the printing costs. "... simplify. something like all orders will be charged... people know if they order they need to pay... this does not seem professional. If you put it on your order form then you have payment BEFORE printing... just a thought

WOW!! Thanks a lot you guys!! Its hard for me to catch all the mistakes Ive made when you look at it often. I just want to give a big thanks to all of you who have looked at my site. As for purchasing my own domain name... Im seventeen high school student and dont have a job at the moment. I would love to get my own domain name but at the moment its not possible. I have made the back ground less..... bright. I was hoping that it would bring a 'spring' theme but I see what you were saying. It was a very sharp green color. I have chosen a black and white/grey background. I am working on uploading more of my photos to a page, like a gallery of sorts. BTW: NONE of you seemed harsh! And I thank you for that greatly! I was hoping no one was going to bash me for the mistakes I made. And well.... I made a lot of them. lol. THANKS AGAIN GUYS!! p.s. If you cant tell I am very greatfull for your critisism!! Kyra

You are not charging enough to be taken seriously. Fees need to be inline with what others in or around your region are charging or many times people will look and say "hmm this sounds fishy to me;" regardless of how well done your work may be. Don't sell yourself short. ~Cat~
