Princess has passed on at the wonderful young age of 14 1/2 years, she will be missed dearly. She was discovered in her faviorite peacful sleeping spot, way up in the rafters when she didn't come down to dinner. She leaves behind her fabulous barn daughter Sassy & spoiled housecat son Beau, her best horse friend Tori, etc... our family is heartbroken, this was the feral kitten we tamed the year after we moved in here, she's been with us ever since.
so now begins the search, we will need a replacement obvously, can't have Sassy living alone out there in the barn. Female prefered... we have a lazy playful male house cat, don't need another & Sassy does not tolerate then in the barn!

If you can wait, we will probably have some kittens in the spring and I am local ;D. We have some semi-feral barns cats that have tamed up pretty well in the last year and now hang out in our garage. A couple of them had kittens last year that they raised in the garage, which meant we were able to handle them and make them people friendly. We have had calico--both the traditional black/orange and also the blue/cream and also creams. Let me know.......................always looking for good homes, and hoping this year to eventually trick them into the cat carrier for a trip to the vet!!!!!!

Hello, i have 2 nice barn cats that (as you know) stay in the barns. And a group of crazy wild barncats. If you want one or a few hundred , LOL let me know. You have the choice of a large variety of colors, with or without tails, and regular toes or extra toes. I do have a very nice calico female i would let you have if you like her. ;D ;D ;D Martha
Seriously, I am sorry you lost your barn cat. Martha

Michelle, Come on over and pick something out. Good mousers, friendly, kids safe (for the grandbaby), horse savvy, chicken and rabbit proof (they don't touch ours and let the chickens eat the cat food first). Mostly have males, but I bet our female Patches would fit the bill easily. Pretty little tortie.

aww sorry to hear that, I put down my cat i had for long 18 years last month and still sorely missed him, no more meowing sometimes I thought i heard meow as he meow 24/7 my other younger cat NEVER MEOWS at all..werid but he drives me nuts.
At the barn where I am, *where you dropped Dots and picked Kisses up* there some cat and youngs one too many if you would like one..two tigers are siblings and seem someone took teh rest home and 2 left or maybe they got lost wandering around since those two only ones staying indoor arena not in other barn where all the strays cats are.
Princess is over rainbow bridge running free with other cats

I met Becky from Camp Kitty to get "Flo", one of Tracy's foster cats... she was a house cat originally & prefers the out-of-doors so she is adapting to her new barn home:-) So far Sassy is just watching her from a distance & is already less clingy so maybe this is a match. Flo wants out to wander, but that will have to wait another week:-(
Thanks for all the offers, i didn't want to get a kitten with all this cold we still have since our tack room is still under re-model so no heat right now and our barn is in the open... kittens tend to get picked off here by the hawks or the coyotes or opposums. An adult cat with some outdoor sense stands a better chance. It's been too long since i had to manage kittens, not sure i could do it right now.

Good news. If it doesn't work out, let me know. Patches is 3 or 4 years old, never been in the house, but good mouser and very friendly. She is not a good mama cat though.

Hey Steph,
Yes, I will keep Patches in mind if these two quarrel or maybe, just maybe my sister could use another... Brittany who came from Camp Kitty stays in her horse barn & does not care for their garage at all - it's HUGE - Her husband has tried to bribe the cat to mouse that outbuilding too, but i think 2 large pole buildings are too much for her. So his barn has all the mice! I will see if they want to give her a try after this weather breaks, he doesn't have a place in there where a cat would want to stay.. which we've all told him he's got to build a kitty condo corner so the cat has a place to hide out in safety, the building is too open right now.
